That burns blondie.....

It did upset me but not for long- I knew what I was getting into getting the tint. I didn't invest in them not knowing why the LEOs would do...

But I think it's the Raptor that gets the extra special attention from them bc he couldn't stop talking about it

Yeah I won't be going back to that place anytime soon. And I could have sworn my tint was 25% to begin with. Not sure they even make "23%" tint and it makes me question the testing procedure and calibration of the machine they used.

I went to a shop that was really straight forward. I wanted 15% but they wouldn't do that. He said they wouldn't even do 25% on Ford's because the factory glass has a very very slight tint to it, putting it just below whatever percentage you go if your tested. He said it would likely read around 21%.

:hmmm2: guess that would explain why my 25% is "23%". Maybe that's also why the tint shop insisted I go 35% on my new fuckus yesterday instead of 25% like I kept asking.

Possibly. I thought they were bullshitting me, until you said that and it reminded me.

here, on frf
just about every new vehicle has some sort of tint to the window. usually about 70-80%. here in ca it is illegal to have tint on the front windows but since the oem glass has it baked in, the legal limit is 70%.

Damn, they swooped on you quick! I've been relatively trouble free with tint on my trucks. Had limo all the way around on my 05 f150 and never got pulled over in 7 years. Although my dad did lol. I guess the guys in Santa Rosa are hurtin for money.

Practically every car on the street has tinted windows. Never seen anyone get a ticket. Cops too busy driving around talking on their cell phones or texting. And occasionally pulling over Middle eastern terrorists.

Yeah, the tinting shop is one of three shops in the same street that tint windows...each shop had about six to eight cars either having audio work or tinting work done.

I can't imagine all of the cars on the streets with tinted windows being able to tolerate getting ticketed so often. doesn't make sense. which brings me back to the fact that there was a Raptor owner in the same shop three weeks before mine who had his Raptor completely limo tinted all around and that one looked really good!

The shop didn't charge me to remove the tint on the front windows and they are reapplying for free now.

I'll post pictures once the front tint is done.
