Tailgate actuator failed

I have a 2017 screw blk any one else have an issue with the tailgate no longer functioning via remote or handle? I have all my tools locked in my bed. Ford wants to hold the truck for a few days until they can get someone to “look at it”

Did you check the connector?

Yes. I removed the cover and activated it with remote and it moves slightly but not enough force to pull cables to unlock the hitch, weird

When you had the panel open did you manually unlatch the tailgate?

Yes I could manually do

I had this issue early on and the had to replace the actuator or solenoid. Was a bitch because I had my bed cover on. I can find the part number etc.

I had to replace two tailgate actuators on my 2018 Screw. The first one I had done under warranty and the second I did myself because I did not want to have to drop the truck off at the dealers again.

Why can't Ford address this? My 2020 w 1200 miles just had failed actuator.
