Haha, this reminds me of being on Norfolk Naval Base, you could walk around the parking lot and literally there was only two types of vehicles in the parking lots. You either had the oldest piece of crap cars that the person clearly bought in the 1940s and it barely gets them to work everyday or it was a brand spanking new sports car or big lifted truck haha! Didn't seem to be much middle ground, either junk or brand new every time!

Its all about your rank, age and if you have kids.

My first chief (then senior chief) was single, 29, 11 years in. Total hotshot, had a Corvette before selling it for a GTR. He left, picked up LDO, bought more cool cars, Raptor included, and last we talked, he was looking at getting a Murcielago, but haven't heard much on that front.

His relief was the polar opposite, and it was frustrating because he had his POS shitbox break down on him and cost him on average 300 or 400 a month to keep it running, but he refused to buy a new car, because he was proud that he "hadn't had a car payment in 10 years"... but if it takes 300 dollars a month to keep the car running, you do have a car payment.

What kind of carpet is that?

It's Indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot .32 sqft. That cost me around 85 bucks I believe. Used some heavy duty rug tape on the bottom and it works well. I was so scared to drive on the new epoxy floors because all the horror stories about lift, i figured small price to pay to protect my investment.

All I can say is damn! I would sell my soul to have a garage/shop as half as nice as what you guys have. For now most of my projects are done out of my apartment with spare tools i accumulated.

A buddy mine has a decently equipped shop that is letting me restore my Allis Chalmers tractor.
