Think we need to have a Raptor Run at his house. Have 50+ Raptors all up and down the street..

Then if they still bitch, we could always make a course through their perfectly manacured yards...

I am in - I suggest camping out in the front yard. I know where we can find some tents!

You got to love a man that will buy a $1M + house and buy a tent a Cosco to protect his truck. My kind of guy. Screw what everybody else thinks. Hats off Bud.

I love this forum. A Raptor gathering in suburban NJ. I can see it now "Oh David call a police officer there are a bunch of crazy gentlemen in work trucks all over!" Shit yes sounds like a great idea...

Y'all wanna talk about ******** neighbors......hahaha, my neighbor across the street has 4 cameras on a nice little 1800 sq ft home and calls the cops on me and the others when we park o n the side of the road. Recieved one ticket already because guests were illegally parked. They weren't 50/50 on/off the road and home owners must be park 100% off the road to not receive a ticket! CrAzY

Now my other neighbor is an even bigger joke! He called the cops on me this weekend as a matter of fact for starting my yamaha banshee @2:00PM IN MY GARAGE! Yea, two o'clock in the day!! Cops couldn't do anything, which was hilarious might I add!
Jealousy is the keyword. I'm 26 years old, own 3businesses, mind my own, bust ass working from 6Am-8:30+pm, and having to put up with grown man shit is the worse! I baby sit grown men at work, the one thing I hate is putting up with the shit when I'm trying to relax at my house, lol

There, I had to vent and give you some strength here, lol. Your situation could be worse my friend and I'm sorry you have to deal with the BS
Hang in there buddy and live your life! If the neighbors have a personal problem then let them deal with it without you escalating the situation. I just told my neighbor to call the cops because I got tired of being harassed.

Funny thread! Yes there are people here who do not like HOA's or ordinances as well as people who like the HOA they are in like me. I used to be one of those rednecks who hated rules and having to notify the HOA about changing colors of the house when I painted it, putting in a pool, better roof but a slightly different color, or putting up a bigger fence. Everything I did I would just dare them to tell me it was not acceptable. They took me to task over the roof but in the end approved it.

The reason that I like it now and I have my "flame suit" on is to keep the exact things from happening like the one above. There are a lot of people who would also park cars in the yard or keep boats in the driveway (city forbids that) but the point is if you want to live in a certain area then you have to play by the rules or suffer the consequences.

Would I like to have a car cover in my driveway? Hell Yes because my trucks never fit into the garage but I am not able to put up a car port for hail the main worry here. Yes I have to get up in the middle of the night and go park under a bridge. Is it a pain yes but I know that this is just something that I have to do.

On the other hand---no one has ever called the cops when I fired up the bike and that thing made the windows rattle on both sides of the street plus set of alarms a lot of the time for cars parked in front of houses...

***I'm gonna go against the grain to show both sides of an HOA, cause I HATE em and I NEED em sometimes.

Its tough to find an area without an HOA around here. Im in an HOA, and frankly in Houston you WANT to be in an HOA, unless your one of the ******** that likes to park in their yard, never mow their grass, ride motorcycles on the sidewalk, start a mechanic shop in their garage, etc.

I don't mind so much, cause down here, people disregard ALL rules if you give em the opportunity. Most of HOA rules are to keep the area clean and neat (and to keep people from putting up huts/tents/etc covering their car)... no offense. lol

I can tell you if I lived in your neighborhood and lived in an HOA I'd be all over ur case..... for the same reason you say you pay $22k a year in taxes (which has **** to do with the HOA, btw) is because I would be paying the same fees/taxes for the HOA to PREVENT someone from doing stuff like this across the street from me.

And my favorite..... people in Texas loooooove to paint their houses BLUE for some reason, lol.... and thats a big perk of an HOA...... or you would see all the "60% off colors at Lowes" on some Vatos house..lol

I'm not pro HOA, but I'm not pro PITA (pain in the ass) either. Even in my HOA neighborhood I have kids riding dirt bikes all over the sidewalk, forcing kids off the roads, people who have 6-7 vehicles in their driveway (this is a single family area, not extended family) and block the sidewalks forcing kids/adults to walk out in the street into the traffic.

Imagine someone across the street from you selling their "million dollar" house..... think they would be excited about the tent? lol Live in a million dollar neighborhood, be expected to spend $50k on adding another garage if needed :)

I park my truck in front of my 4,000 sq ft house, and paid less than half of what you did, but again, its just a truck. Its not one of my kids.
