Oil filter housing/engine oil cooler?

How do the nipples for the coolant hoses attach to the housing? Do they thread in or will I have to change the whole thing. I was in the process of changing the filter and coolant started leaking out and it would appear that the lower nipple is cracked at the housing. It's a 2001 Screw with 107k on it.

Sorry I'm just seeing this. It's 2011. Just bought a new engine oil cooler from the dealer.
