Driving 6 1/2 hours yesterday up to Mammoth and halfway through the drive a bunch of chimes and warnings pop up on the dash. Thankfully truck still starts and drives fine, but Sync knobs/buttons are out (Sync screen and audio still works), HVAC panel and heated/cooled seat buttons are out, rear view mirror aren't folding when locked, can't control passenger window from driver's side controls, and a few other random gremlins.

Errors on dash are "Cross Traffic System Fault" and "Blind Spot System Fault". Pics attached.

Any thoughts? Did a module go bad? Possibly a fuse or harness issue?

The first question is whether you have any aftermarket equipment, especially electrical devices and circuits or stereo equipment. Anything plugged into the DLC? It would appear that modules on the Medium-Speed CAN bus are affected. The SOD Modules (BLIS and Cross Traffic), seat modules (mirrors), and Front Controls Interface Module (HVAC/Audio controls) are all on MS-CAN. The APIM (Sync) and Audio Control Module are on a separate network, which would explain why they are functional.

No stereo or auxiliary electrical equipment, including lights etc.

I used Forscan to customize a few things like the Lincoln folding mirrors, but that was like 25,000 miles and 3 years ago. The truck has been rock solid until this happened yesterday.

Since you have ForScan, you can run a network test and get an idea of what's going on with it. Other than that, dealer would need to diagnose.

First thing I'll do when I get home Sunday is connect to Forscan. It's not going to be a fun ride home with two 6 years old and no AC!

I believe a (severe) exhaust leak may have lead to a run of wiring melting under the bed, back against the bumper. I can't find this replacement part online - anyone know where to find this (see pic).

I have this on , it's the harness that goes across the back. From one side to the other. Check the part numbers to see if compatible.

Dealer tells me the slightly different part # I need is JL3Z13A409Z. Hopefully this is the proper part! I'll update the thread next week after it arrives and I get it swapped out, in the event someone has a similar issue in the future...
