You should be ok to have them on the truck. Especially behind the grill. Kinda like, out of sight out of mind...
I just had my M&R 40" and 30" light bars installed at a local shop. I just don't have the confidence to DYI on this truck. They came out great. Still waiting for my M&R Fog Light Kit to arrive so they can get installed. Here are a couple of pics they took. BTW, it seems that the 2013 didn't need the special M&R Brackets to mount the 30" Bar.
Its not really a bracket, its more like a template.
I'm still wondering about radiator obstruction with this...
Also, I'm weary about the weight of the light bar being slammed with the hood. The metal it mounts to doesn't seem very solid. I could be totally off base, I haven't seen one in person yet.
This is why I'm going with the 40" kit, it mounts to the frame and bumper supports, not the hood/grille itself. It is well below the main radiator area too.
Hmm. like for alignment? Is there something I should check to make sure it was installed and aligned properly?
It aids in the drilling of the mounting holes for the light bar.
It also reinforces the mounting supports.
