mft and sync are basically the same thing. they just took out the dvd player this year. but sync/mft suck because it is integrated into the vehicle and is a pain in the ass to remove, if not impossible. aftermarket navigations have better features, sound quality, and the option to add to it. oem audio systems are designed for longevity. they dont care so much about sound quality. they want you to turn your system up to max volume and not damage you speakers. aftermarket setups care about sound quality, but a properly powered aftermarket setup will last just as long as oem, just be a lot louder and cleaner during that time too.

Besides sound quality tho. I feel that the functionality could be improved too. The way the phone connects and Bluetooth works there always seem to be an issue
