I have been wanting to monitor intercooler water Temps for a while. But did not want to add another Guage. I have Lowrance Hds9 GPS mounted . RUGGED ROUTES came out with a infrared temperature sensor to monitor belt temperatures for UTVs on a Lowrance GPS screen. I emailed Steven weeks ago if this would work and to purchase one . He said it should and comes with double-sided tape to attach. I also used a narrow zip tie to secure. It ties into the communication network of the Lowrance . I just had to add a T to the external Lowrance antenna. Then set up the options to monitor ,you can set upper limit to turn red on display if temp gets to high. Very easy and simple install . So far working great tells me when to turn fans on and if Temps too high to lay off the boost. 200 bucks plus shipping . I installed sensor on side going back to the whipple.
