Debating between 18" and 20" --- but these tires look pretty amazing for snow/highway/offroad.

TrXus STS | Interco Tire

Anyone have comments on them? Interesting that the 20" and 18" seem to weigh about the same. By the time I add the wheels + tires I'm about the same weight or less than factory.

sorry, not even close to the perfect tire. maybe ok on the road, but if they are anything like the rest of the interco line of tires, they will fall apart at any rough higher speed stuff, big chucks. and sorry but ugly to.

I think you're right - I did more reading ... I think I like Goodyear for where I live and where I drive.. I often drive on iced over highways in Western Canada .. the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac look pretty good.

Those will turn into paddles after 5000 miles.

Everyone has been pretty happy with Nitto's or Toyo's but heres a tire thats slipped under the radar. - Cooper Discoverer Radial STT TEK3

Its a nice mix between a a/t and a m/t but leans more towards the m/t, quality constrution and good reviews from what Ive read. Plus it just looks BADASS. Ill be ordering a set next spring. - Ratings, reviews and specifications for Cooper Discoverer Radial STT TEK3 tires

They're not bad looking, but click on the link again and scroll over the Thornbirds.
That's my pick and will have them delivered for spring 2012.

As for wear - I've had Swampers, Swamper SX's and Boggers and have had no issues putting 60k miles on them with mixed city/offroad use. I bought a used set for one of my Bronco's and put over 120,000km (70k miles?) before re-selling them as they still had 1/2" of tread left.

Depending on where you're going, that tread pattern looks agressive, however if you're doing mountain trails in wet conditions, I'd watch out for sideways slides off the trail going down hills.
