id be real interested if they end up doing some sort of recall... i just dropped $3k for the whole rear end to be "rebuilt" because of the same issue as others on here... to be fair though i have 78K miles and other than camphasers and the issues that came with that (cracked valve cover, oil leaks etc) its been a great truck and love it! i still want to do a V8 swap but at $40K for the conversion i may end up going a different route.

Mine is broke.
I made a thread about my options but I just wanted to let you all know that it indeed was a rear diff failure.

Wondering if they are more prone to fail with any sore of lift. Even an inch.

This is exactly what did my pinion in. The original setup of the leaf springs were too much and shifted the pinion angle. Even with a bed loaded there was a noticeable rake to the truck. The truck is now about balanced and has a recently serviced differential.
