I have been here a while now and have just gotten around to getting some photos together.
We took an afternoon and went exploring/sleding around Mt St Helens. The Raptor instilled confidence, especially in my wife as we were only the third set of tracks on the road at 2:30 in the afternoon. I had a chance to play with all the off road features and, on the way down, pulled a very stuck Acura out of a snowbank.
This is a great forum, the only one I seem to make time for. I really have appreciated all the help and information provided and openly shared here.

I am really digging the second to last one, great depth of field. I'm glad I found this community, too. FRF is the only one I frequent.

Great pics peppercorn..The 5th one looks cool also how the snow is just scraping the bottom of the truck, but I have to agree with BMart on the second to last pic.PERFECT. It's also great to have all you guys on here to help us make this the best forum to be on. It wasn't to long ago when I would come on this site and hear nothing but crickets before Bo and Bird. Now it's the roar of knowledge, excitement and laughter. When great minds combine, "anything" is possible.

Yeah nice eye for detail Peppercorn. I like the action photos, but nature photos are by far my favourite.
As for the forum thing, I'm new to the whole experience - but to quote Ironman, there are a lot of good minds here and the exchange of information is useful to all. And humor? yeah some threads can get pretty out of control real quick - but it's healthy to have a few laughs in life.
Keep up the good posts!

Great shots! I'm torn between the simplicity of the truck with snow up to the skidplate near the gate and the one on the road with the mountains in the background.

Is that what they call white on white?:jester:

I actually saw an identical truck heading up the grade above El Dorado Hills on 50 yesterday.

Here is what that area looked like shortly after the May 18th 1980 eruption.

My uncle was sent to help with the aftermath of the eruption when he was in the Navy. he gave me some ashes from the eruption when I was a kid.
