GEN 2 CEL after shutter removal

I have a 2019. I removed all of the shutters but left the motors plugged in. Ever couple of days my truck would throw a CEL. I unplugged both shutter motors and the light went off.
I will log into FORSCAN when I get home and make sure everything is clear. (clear everything then see if it comes back.)

I’ve ran with the motors plugged in and without. No dash CEL but it will show a code on forscan. I figured why have them running constantly for no reason. I taped up the connectors to keep the water and dirt out.
