Car Jolting Forward

Okay I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if it was common. Whenever I put my truck into drive it just jolts very harshly forward. The only way I seem to prevent this if I literally press my foot on the brake pedal all the way to the floor, but even then it sometimes gets a small jolt.

The only time I've had this happen is if you're starting the truck cold and shift into gear rather quickly after the engine has started.

I have this happen even when the car is warmed up.

What rpm does your truck idle at

i've had this happen also, even in reverse....... also attribute it to me pressing on the brake pedal very lightly. It doesn't seem to happen when I have my foot firmly pressed to the floor.

I believe at about 800 RPM.

Seems like shiftthe linkage needs to be adjusted

Not normal at all.

Truck just went in to dealer for this exact issue and for rough shifting in general. Will let you know what they say.



Update: Dealer suspects the control/shift module (they keep interchangeably refering those two names) to be faulty and are swapping it for a new one. Will be here tuesday and will update again.
