Magnet Mount-s.jpg
Simple magnet mount(s) work for me. I leave the heavier items (Ham radio and GPS) for my RAM mounts.

I’m thinking about installing some kind of flat piece to accommodate one for a Qi charging mount. I hate vent mounts. This is what I’m working with.

Don’t know why they posted sideways.

another vote for cup holder - or the side pocket next to your leg on the tranny housing... also makes it easier to have tethered for CarPlay without wires dangling.

First question, did you get a suction cup to stick there?? Impressive..
And..
Did you do the screen conversion for the radio/nav interface? if so, how do you like it?

I’ve got a little disc stuck to the dash but it isn’t strong enough so I have the front of the mount resting on the top of the vent trim. Ideally I’d be able to extend and lower the mount a bit. It’s kind of tall where it’s at. So I need a stronger mount point. Might just try some 3M tape.

The screen is the PX6 from Phoenix Automitive. It’s pretty good. It’s got some quirks though so unless you’re techy you might want to avoid it. They’ve come a long way from their initial PX3 unit for the F150. I wouldn’t go back to the stock unit.

Works really well, if it's 3M. Also, quick little trick is to run a lighter quickly under the tape to make it just a little more tacky and will stick a little better.

And the screen looks great. I've seen lots of write ups on it, but want to know longer term experiences with..

Thanks for the tip I’ll give that a try.

The best resource you probably have on the screen is the PX6 thread here in the forums.
