Bed cage

Question....

What is the purpose of the cage? Just to hold a single spare tire?

Sorry I don't know much about bed cages and was just curious what its real benefits are.

Looks cool either way.

looks tabbed for light mounts and tie down points ( or mounting backets) for a bunch of additional stuff.

it also appears that you could easily stack the second tire on top of the single shown in the mockup.

I think it looks functional. I liked the way the racks that john fabbed for the raptor assault trucks looked a bit more though.

Here’s a pic of the cages used in Raptor Assault. Our goal was to improve a bit on those. I’m happy with the outcome. Can’t wait until it’s powder coated & installed!

Really like the silver BL rings...I went with blue rings, but either way it breaks up all the black on the wheel/tires.

I like to run certain things right behind the cab as opposed to the very rear of the bed...Remember that the rear of the trk moves much more then closer to the center.

maybe a stupid question but, how do you plan to secure those jugs?

What are you planning to put forward of the spare?

Absolutely. I was actually just running up to the corner gas station to get fuel for my mower & quads and realized how the fuel jugs fit perfectly in the back. There’s tons of room between the cab & spare to carry a jack, fuel jugs etc. and tabs on the cage to bolt future custom brackets to.
