Baja Mode on the Street in 2WD Mode Safe?

I noticed when you move the drive mode selector to Baja mode you can easily tap the 2H button to take it out of the default 4H while still getting the different shifting, front view camera, baja steering, susp, exhaust etc.
For just ******** around on the street does this cause any damage? It doesn't seem like it locks the dif.

It also changes the brake bias at differing speeds (at least it did in Gen2). Below 20 MPH, it heavy front braking to allow you to swing the rear end out on a turn easily. Above 20 MPH, it's more back braking.

Baja Mode doesn't lock the diff.
