OK... My 2020 is coming up on 1000 miles. Oil life indicator still says 95%... So, be old school and change at 1000, or wait until the intelligent monitor tells me to???

I want to get-r-dirty now.

I'm going to split the difference and make my first change at 5k. It's 2020 and they don't make them like it's 1964 anymore, thank god.

No reason to change before it tells you to. Ever. Preference is up to you.

This works really well to get the oil filter off.

Check this out at Amazon.com TEKTON 5866 12-Inch Oil Filter Pliers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NPR33O/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

i installed the Fumoto valve and did not like it. The hose didn't stay on that well and it drained really slow. I started taking the whole skid plate off and I'm tired of doing that. I just bought a different funnel and one of these to try next oil change when I just remove the smaller access panel.

Oh and for those that wait for the oil life monitor to go to zero, when I changed my oil yesterday, my stock 2019 had burned about a quart of Mobile 1 in 5,000 miles. The oil life monitor was at 52%.

They all seem to burn a quart by 5000 and settle in after that. I’d never let my oil get to even 25%

The filter wrench is handy to have.

Just in case you didn’t know, there is a trough on the cross member under the oil filter. The oil will come out of 2 openings in the skid plate. I wipe the trough after.
