I'm looking at installing a race radio system for my truck. I am very minalist about things like things and i was wondering what my options were for antennae height location and mounting. I would prefer a mount where i could remove the antennae when i am not using it. i really appreciate the help

Hit up kanarky on the antenna options, he some kind of RF engineer. There are different wave lengths antennas, some short, some long, each provide different features for different mounting locations.

Clarification a "metal" clothes hanger; friggin kids now-a-days!

Put an NMO mount in the roof, that way you can take the antenna off and put on a cute little cover when you choose to.

I've settled on this radio. http://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-008877. Now I just need any ideas on an antenna and mount, I'd like one I can mount on my WSI tire rack with 1.5" tubing
