Rivian looks like a Matchbox truck
It's as ugly as the back end of one of @Oldfart's goats after a vigorous session of affection, but it's small enough to weasel through narrow jeep roads and that tank turn? Holy crap, that's a dream for crawling. And drag racing to the nearest Starsucks? You're gonna get your ass handed to you. If you're not careful, the best thing you'll be able to say is how much better the gen 2 sounds than the Rivian. LOL

The Raptor will not be tens of thousands more expensive than the TRX. It'll probably be priced exactly the same as a TRX, maybe less.
Look man - buy what makes you happy.

That said, the Raptor on 37’s is knocking on the TRX’s door when you look at MSRP. The problem is the current Raptor (35 and 37 package) has huge markups where the TRX can be ordered for thousands off sticker. The markup on the R is going to be insane. I’d bet $20,000 - $30,000 at least. That makes the TRX the better priced vehicle all day long.

They already did...to the Rivian...and the Hummer. Or maybe those don't conveniently count as trucks.
The Rivian and the Hummer are a different market to me. Kind of like a Corvette C8 and a Challenger Redeye. Both are fast two doors, but they go about things differently, and have a different buyer in mind.

The "on 37's" part just so happens to add 10K to the price since it adds other packages. Let compare trucks on 35s, since that's what the TRX comes with.

2022 Raptor is 70K base. TRX is 79K. Ford can swap from the TTV6 to a S/CV8, and beef up any drivetrain bits needed for way, WAY less than 9K.

ADMS and markups are meaningless. They vary wildly, and some people are still able to get orders at sticker or less.
