Very interesting to read, great feedback, thanks for it !

About RR, unfortunately, there are no so reliable than in the past, my brother have one and plenty issues, this car is a mess (its a RR sport) they make cheaper, but for sure not stronger...

I've owned two. First one was a Range Rover Sport that I owned for 1 year 12k miles (swapped it for a 4Runner to do heavier off-roading without worrying about damaging it) and the second and current one is a Range Rover Sport I've owned for 3 years and about 60k miles.

First one doesn't count because the mileage was so low, but the second one has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned. I've taken it in for two service intervals (they're every 16k miles), two software updates, regular tire rotations, one regular brake service, and nothing else. Most "reliability" complaints about modern Range Rovers (2014+) are centered around the infotainment system being slow or buggy. I have the goldilocks year (2017), so I haven't had any issues with that. Just a very capable vehicle (on-road and off-road) with a great SCV8, amazing fit and finish, and a big fuel tank and great driving range for road trips.

Now you know one person who has owned a Range Rover without issues :) -- I do still want to buy a Raptor though :p
I'm with you there. Wife has had 2 RRS' and both were clean until getting the next vehicle (60-80k miles or so). As always, you will hear the whining from vocal minority but, they really are stable, well made vehicles.

Hi guys, first post here. Congrats on the new truck. I had to jump on here. My current car is a 19 Range Rover Supercharged. It’s been my dream car since I was little and I gotta say it’s amazing. They get a bad wrap, and yea the infotainment stuff is slow (although there are OTA updates and they have sped things up), but my car has been awesome. No issues. It’s quick, it’s comfy, it’s versatile and I’d buy another in a minute. In fact, I was gonna order the new one but decided on ordering a raptor. Fingers crossed it’ll be here early June.

Yes…the motor has enough torque to compensate …the one advantage of the 3.5 motor is a flat torque curve…boring to listen to but performs really well….my gen 2 did not have electronic shocks so the ride is much improved over my 2018…off road I cannot say yet…on-road..Ford nailed it. I still long for a v8 raptor…a v8 would make this vehicle spectacular…my 392 rubicon is special because of the v8…
Ok, your stable is spectacular!:banana-mario:

I have a 2020 Rover SVR-- and a brand new 21 35 PP Raptor... while the interior is much better than Gen 2- its no rover....
Does your RR have the Meridian sound system? Don’t even know if they still use that but I was in one that had it few years back and it was by far the best sound I’d ever heard in a vehicle.

I’ve owned 8 range rovers —it’s not exactly autobiography level but it’s close to the most current 2018 v8 supercharged I owned —which by the way was the third Range Rover I have owned and needed to be repurchased by the Land Rover under lemon law. They are beautiful ,but not reliable. I appreciate the humor in your reply ,but the material quality is there…the execution of the interior and overall appearance favor the Range Rover… View attachment 325739

Great review. I’ve got about 200 miles on my 37 and I’m impressed with the ride difference between this and my Gen2. It’s night and day. I agree with your major concerns. The looks aren’t drastic but I still think it’s handsome in the right color.

Sound system wise nothing is better than my AMG Burmester and the close second is my Porsche Burmester. I loved my BW in my X7 but it wasn’t quite as good. I do love blue though.

I traded an '06 Land Rover LR3 with 135k miles for my Raptor, and the Rover was more reliable. Also had a lot more character, and a small fridge in the center console. Haven't found a fridge in my Raptor yet.
