2013 at Texas State fair

Went by the fair yesterday (waaaay too many people there). Ford had a nice display going, and I got to see the 2013 Raptor in Terrain. Okay, this color does nothing for me, it's like they primered the truck and called it a day. It was sunny out so I expected some reflection or pop from the color but it was just dull and lifeless.

He did. Was wondering if they had him covered up or if all the mechanics were exposed. Was also wondering how much burnt.

Got it. It's a real shame when landmarks like that get destroyed.

I agree. I'm sure they'll rebuild and bring him back, they gotta do it. Did they ever say the cause?

I heard something about it on the news but didn't say what the cause was. He is already in the process of being rebuilt.

I knew the artist that created him and I even helped put up Big Tex for a few years. Jack was a great guy and one of Disneys favorite artists. It broke my heart to hear what happened, but luckily, most of Big Tex is just a metal frame. His clothes needed replacing anyway.
