And depending on which dyno you look at the coyote is making most of its torque in the 4400-5000rpm range with max HP nearing 7k.

I have a coyote in my truck now. Once it gets above 3k it really starts to pull, but it's still not a slouch of the line. It just likes to rev.

How does it do pulling stuff? Does it compare to the current EB?

Haven't towed with an Eco so I can't compare it. Did just fine pulling my dads cougar on a uhaul trailer. Just locked out 5th and had no problem holding 70 with cruise. Decent hill would drop to 4th. Don't remember if I dropped it to 3rd for this 6% grade hill in WI but I remember the rpm were around 3500 to hold at 55 going up.

The way I see it its no more different than how the 5.4 behaved in the last gen with the 4spd trans.

So the 2017 Super Duty trucks will get both the 6.2L V8 option and the 6.8L V10 option but not the Raptor?

Does that make any sense at all??

The Raptor as we know it is dead and buried. Not a SVT truck just another model with a ringy dingy motor in it. The sales for the Raptor will not meet sales expectations and it will be available on the employee plan or supplier pricing plan.

Will just be another Ford with go fast stickers and a V6. Will have to see what the aftermarket comes up with but it will not be for me. Ford truck sales are not doing nearly as well as they had hoped and the Raptor will be no exception.

No longer special--hang on to your old ones!

Probably a culture thing ( i r dutch )

But what is it with the USA and there V8

I have tried to figure it out by thinking deeper than just bigger is better, but i still have yet to come up with anything. I think having a big ass V8 is just so deeply routed in our American muscle heritage, that it is just difficult to let go of for us. Now i know many supercars are converting to smaller displacement v6 turbos, but i still feel a truck NEEDS a V8. Now that is all my opinion, you can tell me 100x over that a turbo V6 is the better engine for a truck, but at the end of the day, i will always want the V8. But thats me. Merica' V8's and Guns, God Bless!

I've driven all three stock. The 5.4 I drove suck compared to the 5.0. Now I haven't towed with the 5.4 and 5.0, but towed with the 6.2 and the 3.5L Eco. Hands down the 3.5L Eco wins. The Eco behaves more like a diesel and it's prime RPM range is ~2500, so much less downshifting and much quieter. Fast Lane truck did some comparisons and while one can argue not all their testing is all that precise but it gives some pretty good ideas/comparisons.
