Ruh oh, street queen alert. I sense some rustled jimmies.

Because for $40-60k, you can get a far more comfortable/better built/easier to drive/more economically vehicle.

Hahaha.. nope. I take my truck off road as much as I can which admittedly is not nearly as often as I would like due to work and a young family. Frankly, it just annoys me when people start these posts as I find them to be on the edge of elitist and completely judgmental. Hey, go get worked up about stupid crap if you would like.. I have enough to worry about and why people spend their money and how they use their stuff has never even made it into the top 100.

As for your last part.. I respectfully disagree. Even if I didn't use this truck the way the OP feels is proper I have never had a vehicle that has been more comfortable, fun to drive, better built (so far) or easier to drive. You got me on fuel economy but it gets better mileage than my last vehicle so I can't complain.

With all that being said I have NEVER had a vehicle ever that made me laugh and say to myself "I can't believe that's my truck!" every single time I walk outside. I don't care if this thing got .5 mils to a gallon.. I'd still drive the shit out of it.

On a serious note I am a little nervous about breaking my truck or really tearing something up...I am also worried my skills aren't enough for this truck either...but I got insurance and am extremely excited to see what the truck and me can do...

Should be a good time...

Most of the regulars around here have daily drivers but look for opportunities to get offroad. Some don't. That's their right and street queens make for a great used truck buy.

I think most of the posters in this thread are just having a good time poking fun - motivating the masses, which I would never do. No sir.

Real men jump their Raptors offroad.

So I'm new to the FT Bragg area and everyone I've met with a raptor looks at me crazy when I ask them if they get any offroading in? Like it's unheard of? Most others that don't have one just say they wouldn't if they did cause it's too expensive lol. I just don't understand the point in buying a purpose built vehicle and then not using it for what it was designed to do.

This would be a much better world if people didn't worry so much about what others do when it's really none of their f***ing business.

considering my truck rarely sees the volume go past the 5th notch, I think I would be wasting my money buying a more powerful system, I might eventually be calling for a radio communication system for the runs though
