Why did you buy a Raptor

I needed a new pickup and this one had the suspension set up for my needs.

A co worker showed me it had more cab room than a Chevy Tahoe, so when the 2011 Super crews came out I ordered one site un seen and have loved it every since

I wanted one from the day they came out.

It had every feature that I wanted. Looked 4-5000% better than anything else on the road.

There is no other vehicle I would rather own.

Had a 09 S/C mustang GT with roush body, fully redone suspension... ect. Put every penny I ever made into it and built her up all through high school. It was a M3 and corvette killer and I loved it. Once getting into college and living on the water in Annapolis I bought a 2011 Tahoe Q5i sports boat in June of 2011 and yea mustangs dont haul boats... So I knew I had to sell my baby. Went to a ford dealer after trying to sell online with no success, people either didn't understand all the mods on the car or knew and tried to low ball and steal it.

So yea what ever went to the ford dealer and wanted to get a F150, wanted a raptor but I'm 22 and unless I got what I wanted online for my car that wasn't happening especially after buying a boat. Well the ford dealer owner loved my car and was a former military guy and offered me about 5 grand more than I wanted for my car online which was a shock. On top of that he had about 8 raptors on the lot and really wanted to move them so he could increase his allotment from Ford so I practically stole a raptor.

So I walked out of the dealer with a fully loaded new Silver Screw. After being accepted in the Navy Nuke Power program I got a nice bonus and used that to pay off what I owed on the truck. Now have a new boat and raptor fully paid off! Really lucky, but got my dream truck.

Cool little story, I'm probably the youngest guy on here and its 100% luck. Wouldn't be possible if I didn't get into the Naval Academy and have college for free/ get paid to go to college. But I'm not complaining and insanely grateful! Love my Raptor!!!!!!!

I thought the Raptor had a little bit of all the cars I owned. A lot of the pros I liked about the cars and the H1 with offroad capabilities and harsh winter climate. I will SC the raptor but as is right now I love it. Its a drivers car and that's hard to say for any truck out there.

I did it for the same reason, that and ever since I saw ol tanner foust racing a halo jumper I knew I had to have one. Tax write off is just a bonus

I did it because my wife made me kind of. I have had 3 previous SVT products and know they do them right. I love lifted trucks which I have had a few of. The last truck I had was an F350 with 8 inch lift, but a 6 liter diesel that I sunk alot of money into motor.. However I'm forever a Ford man. My wife wanted the raptor because she thought if I bought I wouldn't be spending as much putting stuff on it HAHA. I really did fall in love the first time I saw one at a car show here in Indiana back around September 2009. I have had mine now for a liitle over 2 weeks and love it. Just wish I could make it a little taller. I wish the 2012-13 front torsion didn't suck putting it on top perch. I have read that you get different axles to help that, but what about making the shock perform like stock?
