No bash. But you must have a really poor running R. I have not been in any tuned 3.5 that will run with the R. I am sure they are out there, but they have a butt load of work, ie. larger turbos etc. installed to pull an R.

No the R is not going to run with your Mclaren (lets see pictures) but it is still very froggy.

Also, if your oil is that black you may have something going on. Yes a forced induction engines oil is darker but it shouldn't be that bad. Mine is at 3K miles and still looks like honey.

There is a huge , like over 200hp drop at my elevation on the R. The EB makes up for some of the loss with turbo charging plus its lighter. My R run really well at see level would smoke an EB.

The advantage you get from turbos at altitude is identical to the advantage you get running a blower. The higher the pressure ratios, the bigger the advantage. I.e., 1atm of boost on a turbo vehicle vs 1atm of boost on a supercharged vehicle will see the same power reduction at the same altitude. At 1atm of boost you’re running at a 2atm MAP, while a n/a motor would be running at 1atm. If ambient pressure is 50% sea level for example, the n/a vehicle would lose 50% power, while the boosted vehicle would only lose 25% since it would still be at 1.5atm MAP, turbo or supercharger doesn’t matter.

The 3.5 has an advantage because the factory boost levels are about 6-7 psi higher than the predator.

Turbos definitely help cure the -3% HP per 1K feet in elevation power kill.

Agreed. The r is overhyped. I love it but it's slow(for me anyways). Sounds good though and is faster than majority of vehicles on the road. If I want a street race I'll grab the mclaren lol

That's why I can't wait for the new supercharger and tune to be ready.
It’ll be fun, I don’t think it’ll be hard to get 8-900whp out of it if you want.

On a different note.. I changed my oil for the 2nd time(first time at 800 miles, this time at 3,800 miles).. oil was BLACK. I believe this engine needs oil changing every 3k minimum. My eb raptor changed oil at 5k- oil you could still see thru it(just for reference).
The oil I use for the r is 5w-50 Motorcraft full syth.
That’s interesting, in my experience I’ve always seen that oil gets dirtiest the fastest in turbo vehicles.

With a name of boostCreep I would have thought you would know the waste gate allows to help mitigate. The turbo just spins a bit faster to make the same boost.
