Those lugnuts are for aftermarket wheels and thin walled. The acorn angle is a LOT smaller to hold the wheel. I would never use those on stock wheels. Bet if you look straight on those lugnuts you installed, you will see a silver/metal ring around where it meets the wheel showing how little its actually holding.

You want something like this:

I was going to get the gorilla but got these instead. I noticed they were much smaller.

I may see if they would fit something else and get the gorillas.

Bad pic I know.. took it for a wheel alignment and turns out my UCAs are toast and upper and lower ball joints are done as well. So off to Ford for some much needed work.

Worst part is the tire shop I took it to wouldn't even do the alignment.. just gave it back and said it needs work.
Thats not the worst part, they did you a favor and didn't waste your money. You can't align a front end with loose parts. Nice bumper :happy107:

True lol, I just wasted time taking it to a local tire shop vs limping the truck 10 minutes down the road to Ford. Luckily Ford has all the parts so it should be done soon.

Agreed. Trying to align a truck with bad ball joints is about as useful as sighting in a rifle with a loose scope. I would go back to that shop, they proved they are honest and pay attention. A lot of places will do an alignment without bothering to inspect it then tell you to fly a kite when the vehicle drives like crap "we aligned it to specs!" Then your stuck trying to figure out what is wrong with it, then paying for another alignment.

Yeah definitely glad they told me, just an unexpected bill after buying the bumper, winch, lights . Oh well!

Guess I was a little frustrated with not going to Ford in the first place lol.. not the tire shops fault. i work 4 days on and then have 4 off and work is 200 miles from my house. So a last minute surprise like that I didn't enjoy lol. Such is life though

Rebuilt my KC lights, 2 didn't work and they were leaking and peeling paint. Got 2 new bulbs off Amazon. The peeling paint was a real "kiss my butt" to deal with. I soaked them in boiling water and baking soda to soften the paint and then basically sat there and scraped the paint off with a razor blade. In the end they turned out okay. Cleaning the lenses on the inside really helped with the brightness.
