Anyone have any experience and/or recommendation with Gen 2 brake upgrades that will fit using 17" wheels? I put a set of BFG 37" tires on 17" Method wheels on my truck, and I've noticed a decrease in stopping power. Heavier wheels and tires will do that. Not buying another set of 18" or 20" wheels.

I would try some high friction pads first. I believe that Summit Racing has several different brands. Have not tried them on my raptor, but I have used EBC and they worked wonders on my sport cars.

Contemplating getting braided stainless steel on mine. Installed those on my 2017 F150 and loved how the brakes felt and was significantly better compared to my raptor it terms of modulating the brakes driving on the street.

Offroad-wise, the stock raptor brakes feel more than adequate.

Power stop Z36 truck tow kit- good overall upgrade for 1/2 tons

The only BBK I have seen for raptor has been the Alcon & it is $$$$ & requires a number of modifications to existing stock parts so that would also concern me aside from price

the Raptor SUCKS @ braking as it is compared to most anything else on the road unfortunately & im 100% certain/in agreement that the 37”s only exacerbated it- but hey, LT rated 33”s will make a normal 1/2 ton feel different so there’s that lol

I Don’t think I’d bother w/ stainless lines There’s not gonna be any flex in brand new OEM rubber ones. Just my opinion.

My Raptor only has 5200 miles and I've not felt the urge to upgrade yet (very unusual for me). However, I have used the Power Stop Z36 kits on other vehicles and always felt the upgrade was worth the money. To include initial bite and fade resistance improvements. Granted, the Z36 kit is FAR from Ferodo DS2500s, but something you can "feel" your money was spent well (for the buck).

BTW... if anyone could convince them to make the DS2500s in a Raptor fitment, that would the the wholly cats ass in street upgrade (great off road as well). However just a front set of pads costs about the same as the whole Z36 kit.
