when I go down to 4A, it shifts and the same light goes steady, no blinking 4A, but I do have a blinking 2A on the dash, and on the selector pannel next to the radio vol button.

Checking raptor status, in 4A its blinking 4A and blinking the forward connecion to front wheels is also blinking?

4H and 4L do not seem to work.

Do i call dealer?

Try putting it in neutral and switch it back and forth. I had a similar experience but that solved it for me. I think it was frozen or just got confused.

Yep, did the neutral thing, tried all mode, only 2H and 4 A can be selected and now both blink.

Then tried the mode switches on the steering wheel, and only 2H ever comes on even in Baja mode in neutral, speed at 0.

Sounds like a transfer case issue. Last thing to try would be unhook the battery for 20 and see if it clears. If that doesn’t work sounds like a dealer visit is in order.

That worked. Battery off for 20 minutes reset the system, and no more blinky light.

Also it does now shift to all 4 modes.
weird. just to be sure... if you floor it from a stop in 4a, you get actual power to the front, right?

yes. i just wanted to mention test it, don’t just assume because the light’s out it’s fixed.

Maybe the Microsoft software has crept from Sync into the main computer system. Would explain why a reboot "fixes" problems.
