I’m sure injector noise reduction is one of the purposes for the foam isolator. The next purpose is a heat isolator to help keep the engine heat from soaking the intake manifold. Fuel rail heat is a really big problem back in carbuerator days when fuel pressure was 3 to 5 psi. I ran my fuel line through a copper coil in an ice-packed canister in my hotrod(s).

So, you geniuses do whatever you want based on short-sighted assumptions, but my experience says I’ll continue to isolate the manifold itself as much as possible. That’s one reason they’re made of plastics.
