I got my blend mount today...installing it tomorrow with a V1. Looks pretty straightforward....much cleaner than running the wire to the lighter...

The hardest part is releasing the tabs on the shroud and white connector plug.

anymore details on how to release the shroud? Feels like I am going to break something...

EDIT: So I found it easier to remove the top piece. It pulls right down and I could actually access the plug without even removing the bottom piece. it would be all done except I have recycled this mirror tap 3 times from 3 different vehicles, this would make 4 and I finally broke the leads off trying to get them in the plug. So I had to order a new mirror tap. but this thread helped me figure out taking off the top. It comes off much easier than the bottom:

Don't take this the wrong way, because I have about 3 or 4 V1 in various cars, but I have found that using Waze is much easier for cop detection. I know you have to run an app, etc, but seems to do well enough for me. And with a lot of the LE using laser, I haven't found that a V1 was much help.

Very helpful thread, thanks for the pics. Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic kick panel NEXT to fuse box cover to get better access to it. I'm about to break it instead of removing it.

I'm not sure waze is a good replacement for a decent radar detector. That's just my 2¢ tho.

What you really would want is a quality radar unit and the AntiLaser Priority laser jamming system tied in.

I run the latest ****** unit and it has alerted me a number of times to cops running radar when waze had nothing. My trip to Snoball this year I ran my ****** with the ****** app on my phone an Waze on a tablet. I wish I could tie into waze with the ****** that would be the best of both worlds as way more people run Waze than the ****** app.

Now that I got rid of my last mustang when I buy my next sports car I am going with AntiLaser Priority front and rear setup with a radar tied in.

Thank you to Backwoods and others. I mounted mine behind the windshield frit, what I could find online shows no loss of signal detection. Stealthy location will save me from having to hide the V1 when a LEO is around, you cannot see it from the front. Aux6 switch is nice, easier than using the volume knob when I don't need a RD in town.
