2014 Ford Raptor Radar Detector Smart Hardwire Kit Hookups

I just purchased a radar detector and I also purchased a hard wire kit so it's not plugged in to a cigarette lighter and a wire dangling. The problem I am having is where to hard wire it to since the fuse box in under the hood. Anyone have any suggestion on where to wire it so I can get constant power while the vehicle is on?

you can find power in the fuse box in the passenger kick panel. dont need to run under the hood. some people have used power at the mirror as well

I took off the kick panel but did not see a fuse box. I did see some wires. I will check again and look better.

I got switched power from the sunroof and rear slider switches

Got it hard wired in. Found the fuse box in the kick panel and hooked the wire in to one of the fuses.

Mirror tap or Fuse box?

So I was on the fence about hot to direct wire my Valentine w/ blendmount. I have read countless posts about the a mirror tap or directly wire to the fuse box. My past BMW's have all had power readily available in the head liner so I just tapped into a power source and was good to go...
