I'm sure you could bring the glare down a bit but it still wouldn't eliminate it. Plus you still have the issue of light being blocked. I don't have an issue pulling the antenna for a run. During other times if I run the lights it won't be a big enough deal to have a little light blocked. I guess I'll see how much it actually bothers me once I get everything installed.

Seems like a piece of electrical tape on the back side would reduce or eliminate glare, and I wouldn't think the shadow it creates would be a very big deal.

Or use masking tape. Electrical tape can leave residue

Sorry I only listen to sirius or the juke box. FM stations here suck and I never really listen to AM so I can't help u much

The reception for FM is close to that of the stock antenna, a little worst for HD-FM. I never listen to am, but I would say, it should be close to stock.

I believe for am channels a shorter antenna is better (I'm not the radio guru, just something I read once), car antennas are tuned specifically for FM since it's harder to get good FM reception than good AM reception (again just something i read once)

I don't notice much difference, if any, between stock and the bullet.
