6.2 TIRED OF DRONE (No More Roush in my Life!)

I have a set of Roush cat back system(installed in March this year), and there is a terrible drone around 1500-2000 RPM. After a road trip to California. I have got so sick of that sounds...(imagine listening to that drone 30 some hours non-stop from Wisconsin to Cali, and then come back..)

After I got home, I contacted the Roush and what they told me was that they never heard about this issue before and there was nothing they can do about it. (basically I am on my own now, even though I still have the Roush Warranty!!?)

I talked to some guys from local shop, they suggests me to get a Solo Performance QR Resonator onto my Roush exhaust, and it will reduce the drone issue but they will not guarantee that the resonator will completely eliminate the drone. I am not 100% sold to the resonator right now, because I do not want to spend 300 USD (includes the labor and resonator) if the drone is still there!

I threw my stock exhaust away, so there is also no way that I can switch back to the stock at this point.

SO I have a few questions here and I hope I can find some answers here:

1, Does anyone heard about Solo Performance before? if someone does, how is their product??

2, Does anyone else in the forum have the same problem with ROush exhaust system? If so, what were your solutions?

3, I heard that the Corsa is my best bet if I want to spend another thousand on the exhaust. If I do decide to go with this route, where can I get the cheapest price for the Corsa catback?

4, Anyone in Wisconsin or Chicago area that has a different exhaust that could allow me to hear his or her aftermarket exhaust system in person?

Some advice for other Raptor onwers: never look into Roush.... not good quality product, not good customer service.....

Yes, after I did some research on the forum, I found what some guys did was adding the stock resonator into the Roush system, and some guys just went for a different brand like Borla or Corsa.

I am here trying to find a solution that cost least amount of $$$ so solve the drone issue

Why not just replace the Roush muffler with a Magna Flow muffler? That should only cost around $300 to $400 to do. I had run MFs on my other vehicles and I never noticed a drone with them.

Do you have a specific part number that I can look it up?

I sure don't. We have a local shop here that builds custom systems and they had them on display and I surely don't recall the model number. When I first dealt with this guy, he told me to go for a ride and if I didn't like it bring it back before the end of the week and he would swamp it back out. Needless to say, I kept it.

Do you have any video that I can listen to? Were you using Roush before?

Call the guys at MRT with the RPM range that you get the drone, they might be able to help. They are also designing a new system that did an awesome job of eliminated drone.

No, I got rid the Truck before I got the Raptor. I currently running Stock muffler with turn downs. Though I will say it does sound pretty much like the MF I had on my old F150 with 5.4L engine.
