There's also the chance the ticking was always there and you're just hyper sensitive to any noise. Most v8's I've owned always had a tick. Some were louder than others.

^ yep mine has "ticked" since day one. I only notice it first thing in the morning before I turn up the radio.

My only concern is that it definitely wasn't there prior, I can small a little but of gas fumes/exhaust and it mainly ticks the loudest when accelerating...

lol Now that the driveway is dry I'll go check how much I missed but I was not trying very hard to remove it all seeing as how I have to wash it again Monday to get the Pismo salt and sand off.

very true... maybe the sand will sand blast off all of the mud?! wishful thinking i know but hey ya never know... and as far as the wrench comments go... you didnt help saying "i hear it ratcheting! i dont understand why its not spinning?!" lol
