Order or Wait

Had a deal on a raptor at a dealer that fell through wanted 62 grand told him hes out of his mind called me up later that night said he could get closer to my price range if i order one. My question is should i wait for the 2012 to come out (if anyone has an idea when they come out please let me know) or go ahead and order and wait so many odd months sounds like people are having trouble getting them in the quoted time

Typically early Sept is when the new model year order window opens up. That would likely give you a late Nov or Dec delivery assuming there are no holds.

The dealer sounds like they are slightly out of touch (62K ???), so I wouldnt hold much hope in their being reasonable with the price when ordering, but who knows.
I would search various dealer's inventory & start sending E mails. Nothing better than a road trip home in your new Raptor!

Ya after dealing with the salesman the manager came in and told me he ordered 6 of them and that i was out of my mind for not taking the price he said you wont be able to find one lower than that i told him good luck on selling 6 of them 10 grand over sticker after he heard that he said we wont deal with you and walked out. Stupid ******** wouldnt give us credit either for our family buying four trucks there either lol

What dealer is this? They're idiots if they think these trucks are worth 62k or even sticker for that matter. Dealers like this is the reason the Raptor will not exist past 2012. They run off all potential buyers by leaving a bad taste in their mouths thinking this is how ALL Ford dealers act. There are way too many dealers out there like this too. I dealt with one dealership who thought their stripped 2010 was worth msrp in Nov. 2010. The sales manager said "you must not really want the truck then". I responded "not for that ridiculous price" as I walked away. Glad I did, since I'm now getting the exact truck I want.....at invoice!

Lol. Isn't ordering the same thing as waiting these days? For the price difference, I'd get what you want for the right price by ordering or finding a more reasonable dealer.

Haven't heard anything yet about the 2012 Raptor that'd make anyone regret getting a 2011.

Thanks fellas appreciate it i imagine on the 2012s are just some options nothing major under the hood but ive got a auto broker looking for me outside of colorado so hopefully he can find me something ill give him a week or so and if he cant get me something good ill order one but not at Phil Long (dont know if we can say dealers names but whatever bad expirience)
