I need some help on a good tire cleaner. Power washed tires and tried some 303 wheel cleaner first to remove brown film on tire. Still had the brown look. I tried greased lightning but no big difference. I dress my tires with 3 M Tire Essentials don’t know if this has anything to do with the brown left when I clean them.

https://www.prodetailingsupplies.ca/post/why-tire-sidewalls-turn-brown-and-how-to-prevent-it

Heres a good article on this, ive been a detailer for many years now And still fight with this. I have tried many different cleaners that we’re allowed to get. (strong degreasers etc) yet no luck to a point, we do get it to lighten up a bit.
It has to be the companies using too much of that antiozonant stuff idk. Hopefully the new stuff we have coming in will help. Maybe someone else has a better answer and can help is both out lol

I just had this problem with my travel trailer, even though I cover the wheels from the sunlight, it still did it bad!!!!! I tried spraying some simple green on the tires and let them soak and then used a scrub brush dipped in household cleaner and that got it off with not too much work, BUT BUT it is still brown near the edge of the tire where the tread pattern on the sidewall starts. I was exhausted after doing the 4 tires and decided I was going to look for a scrub brush "thingy" that would mount in my cordless drill, because trying to get in the tread area would be too much work by hand. Following along this thread for ideas as well.

From our supplier. These are the soft ones (works well on leather, wouldn’t go any stiffer) also have a med stiff one thats yellow its good for rubber floormats etc. idk of you can see the difference in bristle thickness. Amazon has These ones. they look like what i have.

You mean one of these @CoronaRaptor lol

They work pretty good, i have one for the carpet and one for the seats.
Yeah, something like that, but something between that hair and a wire brush, that brown s h i t is thick and like concrete on my trailer tires, but it may work. Damn it, I was just at Walmart and forgot to look for something there!
