What's the thread size on the nuts? Or, does anyone have a part number for the McGards? I've thought about them before, and need to put them on my 'ToDo' list...

All Fords with these dumb capped lugs do it. I just had to deal with a 2014 base F150. Hammer on socket, break lug nut loose, leave nut on stud while you fight and wiggle the socket off. repeat 23 more times.

Ironically, i never knew it was considered swelling, probably from galvanic corrosion. I always just assumed some ***-hat at the tire shop keeps using their 22mm on fords

I HATE that Ford still uses lug nuts with chrome covers on them. They are a PITA when they swell up and eventually you'll end up having to Dremel them off.

This is bizarre.

I was just trying to get the lug nuts off this evening and found my wrench only fit on a very few of all the lugs on the truck. Lots of shearing and scrape marks already on them. Couldn't figure out why the wrench wouldn't fit and began to think the tire shop replaced them with a different size when I last had the tires rotated.

Came inside and jumped on the forum. Wouldn't you know...someone started a thread on this yesterday! Ordering the McGards unless there are other suggestions.
