And its going to be expensive to feed. Have you seen the reports of how much fuel a gt500 goes thru on a track day? And if youre going to say, " no one buys one for the mileage"... dont bother.

Maybe Ford can put a clutch on the supercharger like Madmax, so it can just cruise when not needed.

Nobody buys these for MPG....... lol but seriously, isn’t the GT500 tank incredibly small? I think I remember seeing the range being like 200mi

Maybe …. But they do drink a ton of fuel. Hp = fuel. The eb is the closest you can get to the best of both worlds

Yea the GT500 has a 13gal tank so it will be much less if an issue in a Raptor which will have double the tank size . I know it will get better mpg than a TRX just due to overall weight

Just like F12 Berlinettas', not everyone can afford them And there are cheaper versions of sports cars that are affordable.

Horrible comparison but my garage says otherwise.

Actually had to goggle what a F 12 was, lol. Beautiful automobile. But I can think of bunch of ways I'd rather spend $319k.

I think $110k is a great estimate for a loaded up R. My guess is you shouldn't have a problem getting into one for that price.
I'm having a hard time justifying $80k for a 37 Package but at the end of the day it's exactly what I want.

Speed and liability, and to a lesser extent, MPG.

RAM had to get tires specially designed for the TRX, whose speed limiter of 118 mph is based on the tires.

There are few, if any, other 35" offroad tires out there with a speed rating over 100 mph.

Now consider 37s - what would be the point in having a Raptor R that is rated for 90 mph top speed or something ridiculous?

Sure, you can put 37s on a TRX, but at that point, the liability is transferred off of RAM and onto the consumer.

Not to mention the reduced handling, higher center of gravity, etc. with 37s. And we all know how eco-conscious Ford is now, so while the MPG loss with 37s won't be much, it will matter.

So no, I don't see Ford allowing 37s with the R.

Hence why 700+HP trucks are a measuring contest at the end of the day

That is true for any vehicle, not just trucks.
