That's how a lot of Officer get shot,

That’s the narrative used to encourage the passing of these laws, but, as with most internet rumors, it’s almost certainly tracing back to a few sensational events, rather than a pattern.

How many officers have been shot from behind or using tinted windows?

I can second this. To all of you saying tint laws are stupid and petty, try stopping a car and walking up on it with pitch black windows and not knowing who or what is inside and then come talk to me about your feelings.

You always have the option of ordering the driver to turn off the vehicle, exit and secure driver, any passengers and vehicle as needed. There’s more than one way to skin a cat.

Treat people with respect until they don't give you a reason to

That about sums it up. If more people espoused this sentiment, the world would be a better place.

I used to get police supply catalogs. Always remember one of the products was a "tint-o-meter" used to measure the darkness of window tint. In the description of the product they mention "Perfect for that probable cause stop".

Had a moto cop pull me over back in the day circa 1990’s. Was cruising along in my Camaro in sunny FLA. He threw one of those devices on that fit to the top of the window and checks the light transmission. Mind you the previous owner had 3 layers of limo tint on it as I realized after removing it and re tinting. Had to bring it to the police station for inspection after. PIA LOL

It is pretty obvious that DinduMcNugget were never a LEO and have not a clue of what Leo goes through in their day to day job. Yes, maybe it's not the world Dangerous job but if you let your guard down for a sec, then you won't be going home after the shift. I know A lot of doctors but that won't make me a doctor or know what they do in the operating room. Please don't try to armchair quarter back.

I have my front windows tinted which matches the rear factory tint. It's the first time I've ever tinted my front windows darker than allowed by law, which I understand, because I thought a matching
tint would just look better and it does.

However, what I didn't realize was how hard it would actually be to see out of at night.

I have thought about changing to a lighter tint just for that reason as it's a little on the dangerous side not to mention the hassle of getting pulled over for that reason.

Get a tripod. Take a photo with the windows up. Roll them down. Take another photo. Select the highlights in the windows when they're up. Add them to the other photo. Done.

Then move to a better state because the next time they spot you out and about you'll be arrested if they find out you lied to a police officer.

Also, I'd say providing the photo isn't aiding and abetting. The act of turning it in and acting like it's your own truck would be the illegal portion in this instance—but IANAL.

I would think they would have to issue another ticket. Who can prove he didn’t just get it tinted again?

Yes, It's a stupid Law until you are the officer that stop a car running a red light at 4 o'clock in the morning and can't see inside the driver or the passing seat! That's how a lot of Officer get shot, because they can't see what's inside the vehicle not to mention you can't see shit out of your dark tinted glass at night.

they could just make a rule that you roll down your Windows if tinted. I used to get pulled over and would roll both front windows down and open the sunroof. Never got a ticket or even questioned. I never tinted my raptor though.
