I had BFG AT KO and KO2s on previous trucks (‘14 AEV Rubicon, ‘13 Raptor, ‘08 Tacoma), plus on my wife’s SUVs (‘17 GX460, ‘10 Yukon). Providing this info as a point of reference regarding breadth/depth of experience—and default preference for the BFG AT KO series.

My ‘18 Raptor has a brand new set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W (stock size, Load Range E) installed by CarMax. Truck only had 30k miles, but as you know CarMax usually places new tires before selling.

Week 1 Impression: initially 38psi F/R, then dropped to 37psi F - 34 psi R. Feedback based on the lower pressures.

-Very quiet and smooth riding AT, every bit as smooth as the BFG on pavement even at 80mph. No vibration although that is due to balancing/luck of the draw.
-Comfortable ride, nothing to note. Rear end planted even on bumpy decreasing radius exit ramps.
-Per www.tiresize.com in 315 stock size: Falken E-load weight 72.8lbs, BFG C-load weight 63lbs. No doubt the Falken is heavier. That may matter to some (rotating mass impact on suspension, accel/decel, fuel mileage, etc.)
-Price is lower I imagine.
-Never owned a load range C tire (OEM Raptor tire) previously, so I have no idea of ride quality difference as I’ve only owned E tires on trucks/SUVs.

I had never heard of this tire previously—as I was always a BFG owner. The reviews look good based on what I can discern.

IF the tire continues to do what I need it do do (ride quality, durability, mild off-road, snow/ice every blue moon in OK—but we winter trek to visit family in Boulder)—given the price, this will be high on the list when replacement is needed on my truck or my wife’s SUV.

NOTE: Not a daily driver, weekend exploring, and/or winter road trips. Mall curbs and speed bumps mostly.

Where did you find them cheaper than the BFG KO2 load range C tires, Discount tire in California is $16 more per tire for the Falken Wildpeak A/T 3W

They are pretty popular on the F150 forum. I considered them when I was in the market for tires for my 2017, but I didn't want load range E.

While BFG is an awesome tire I didn't care too much for the soft compound of the factory BFG AT KO2s
Agree with this above. I plan on running the Wildpeaks when I need new tires in 15k or so. Had them on my 17’ F150 FX4 and couldn’t have been happier. Big selling point for me being in Utah is the 3 peak mountain snowflake ice/snow rating. Excellent handling in frozen slippery stuff.

I’ve been seeing those Wildpeaks more and more lately. Seems like a good tread pattern. It’ll be interesting to see how they do for you.

According to TireRack, the OEM spec KO2s are Severe Snow Rated FYI.
