Question #12: Flood Ford ESP; When to buy?

Okay, I have a 2018 that is less then a year old and only 2600 miles on it, it`s because I am disabled and it is my second vehicle

I just called Ford Customer relations about extending the warranty. Ford Protect Premium Care with a zero deductible 5 years or 36k mi and the cost was $1215.00 All lights covered.

I am looking at the website, Flood Ford Premium Care with a zero deductible 5 years or 36k mi and their cost is $550 for the same thing. What am I missing?

The brochure`s are exactly the same with all of the same covered, help me....

Simple. Ford Corporate trying to make more profit than Flood Ford.

With as little as you drive, I would not even worry about getting the extended warranty. Save your money.

Nothing. Flood Ford sells by volume so they don't make much on each one, but they sell a ton of them. That's a reason some random dealership in RI is one of the best places to get your ESP from...local dealerships don't want to compete for whatever reason.

I have called Flood Ford and spoke to Gardiner and the plan that I bought saved me $530.00 Same deductible and exact same coverage, LED lights, key fob, rental for 10 days.
I did it all on line after I called and had all of my questions answered. It`s worth the call

I'd wait til 35 months or 35K miles, lots can happen before that time and you never get the ESP money back.

I’ll agree that you won’t get your money back under certain circumstances; this is the main reason I went the MBI (mechanical breakdown insurance) route through my GEICO auto policy. But it’s important to note that the Ford ESP is transferable, so this is a nice selling point if you decide to sell your truck privately.

I never buy these warranties but did on my GEN1. It was the best decision ever. They have easily spent $20k on mine so far. If it was a street queen, it probably wouldn’t be worth it as practically everything that has failed was due to off-roading. The only decision for me that was a mistake was choosing the $200 deductible.

Buying now can get you the rental car on day one, other than that you can wait. Usually its only $100 higher to wait after 1yr/12m but I have noticed that in the fall there can be price increases.

I plan on buying from Flood on my GEN2, without a doubt, either the $50 or $100 deductible this time. [emoji23]

Here we go again with another Jenny owner trying to imply that the Gen1 Rap ever had a single warranty claim. It’s well established right here on FRF that no Gen1 Raptor has ever had a problem. Ever.

Not necessarily if they have a price increase within that first year.
