My truck is now ceramic film'ed including the sunroof glass, and the difference is literally night and day. I've lost a full 20-40 degrees of heat in the truck on a 90-100 day when opening it.
my windshield is a little too dark for my liking, but is nice to have the a/c not have to be on full blast the entire time to maintain temps.

What percent of darkness on the different areas and what make?

I did my windshield and two front windows. Makes a huge difference. At the shop they have a heat lamp behind all the different kinds of films where you can feel how much heat is being deflected. I forget the brand but it's awesome. Especially in az. Keeps it cooler and preserves your interior and dash etc

My shop in AZ has that also.

My windshield is tinted. For those that have tinted the windshield, do you notice the headlights turning on/off a lot when in "auto" headlight mode and driving away from the sun during the day? Any solution other than just manually turning the lights on/off?

I had mine done with a light tint, no issues with polarized glasses (Oakley) it also depend on the brand of tint put on the vehicle. A buddy of mine has 3M tint and I do see distortion and rainbow colors when wearing my glasses, I did not use 3M tint so I do not see any distortion. As for heat reduction, yes I have noticed a big difference!

so SVT_Aaron....what brand of tint did you use that you find did not cause distortion or rainbow colors?

Not sure if I posted this in the right section (Int or Ext) but anyway.....

Has anyone tinted their front windshield? Not for a color change, just clear tint for UV protection? If so, any issues with polarized sunglasses.....distortion or otherwise? Also, is it effective in heat reduction?

I tinted all windows, including roof glass and windshield 35% ceramic tint. Heat reduction is incredible. Its pricey but worth it in my opinion.

You can't see who's driving in day or night through the windshield.

I didn't know how driving at night would be with a 35% tinted windshield but Its not a problem at all. No regrets and I would do it again.

man if you tried to tint the windshield in Texas the troopers would jam you up so bad you wouldn't know which end they came at you from.

Or you could do a 70% or 80% and no one would be the wiser, but you'd cut down on 50%+ of the heat.

Yeah, the AIR80 on my wife's ML isn't even noticeable.

Yup. Exactly what I have on my Mustang. Love it.
A little bit of color banding on leaves with my polarized glasses, but the performance is worth it.

I have 30 percent on my windshield, looks like sunglasses during the day and clear enough to let me do whatever at night!

There's actually an interesting way around the tint laws with nothing more than a doctor's note from an eye doc

I honestly couldn't tell you what brand of film was used by the shop that did it because I honestly have no ieda, I can tell you that it is not 3M though.
