Markup hell?!?! Just me???

I've found multiple dealers at $5k over MSRP in Phoenix (including one that came down from $10k on an in stock AG). Many of them are charging $10-20k though and tell me people are paying. Unfortunately, the only dealer selling at MSRP has a long waiting list and no allocations.



I'm too stubborn to pay a mark up, so I'm still empty handed. Sure would love to upgrade from my 2010 though.

You talking about Sanderson ford? I got two buddies there and still wasn't able to make the first 40 allocations [emoji58]. Great friends I have huh! Lol.

Yeah, Sanderson is the only dealer selling at MSRP. Peoria Ford claimed to have sold one at MSRP, but wouldn't commit to it over the phone. I wasn't going to drive an hour across town just to have them waste my time either.

Worth a shot if you're willing though.

Peoria is a bunch of crooks. I was on their list from oct of 2015 number 1 on it.... almost a year passes they call me and say ok we're ready to order we need 15k down and we're charging 15k over... I said some colorful words and hung up. They screwed me all up. They were the dealer with the white one for over 90 and it had 15k over [emoji1303]

It really is ridiculous. I had to drive out of state to get near MSRP. My area is marking up by $15k.

There is even a base model Raptor with minimal options on a lot here for 65k...

Ouch. A little further than I did.

One word of caution, be careful of work trucks. I got a new dime size rock chip near my headlight already in the paint

My dealer is offering to fix it though. Told me to get a quote and send it to them.

Ah that sucks but that's a nice dealer you have! You guys might think I'm crazy but I'm actually taping off my entire front end before I get on the road. I used to do it when I took cars to shows in California.

I'm more surprised I didn't see this mentioned earlier. Many-a-BMW owners do this after taking delivery at the Performance Center in SC. Great idea.

If I had deep pockets I'd pretty much just say **** it and do it as well. If anything, I'm jealous they can rationalize it in their minds and be ok with it!
