If you can feel the scratch with your finger nail, there is a good chance it will show through a wrap. It would need to be sanded or filled first.

Good point. I had my hood wrap put on recently thinking, "Sweet, it's going to cover those rock chips".

Nope. It doesn't.:shakehead:

Didn't realize a wrap wouldn't cover the scratches. They are down to the white primer. Looks like it'll be paint.

Follow-up question; would you go to the dealer at $960 (both front doors) or a body shop? I honestly have never had a paint job done before that I actually cared about. Can a body shop match Ford Tuxedo Black? And has anyone tried re-affixing the 6.2L badges after taking them off? The guy at the dealership said they don't go back on well and they'd have to actually use new ones.
