well, the radio does have a very similiar rubber/plastic plug on the back. i have always called it the ********* to the radio.

I'm pretty sure that is not from your truck, but that it fell out of the mechanics ass while he was working on your truck. I had seen some posts from him on www.********.com that he is in training for the famous, "Devil's *********" challenge. He obviously has a long way to go.
