weird noise during hard acceleration

I started noticing a weird noise during hard throttle, it is a high pitched metallic whining sound. It is only there during hard acceleration not during light to moderate throttle. It sounds like it is coming from the front passenger area but it is hard to tell exactly where, anyone have this before?

Did somebody install a Whipple supercharger on your truck without you knowing it?

Mine does it to, I think it's my cai pulling air though, oh wait mines a whistling sound.

Make a clean sweep of beer cans/bottles under your hood. We drank a bit in the hotel lot while working on our trucks. I found a Budweiser bottle in mine one morning Good times!!!

I wonder if you have an idler pully or something with mud in it going bad or a crack in the exhaust just enough to cause a whistle. Shot in the dark.

I'll snoop around a bit today, driving to BC tomorrow for a week. When I will get back I will get the dealership to look at it when I get an oil change and tire rotation.

sounds like a pretty extreme level of air rushing thru the throttle body causing a whistle... does it start around 3800rpm?
