As far as reason number one... I agree the Raptor isn't primarily a rock crawler but we all did just fine going up "broken shaft gulch"

Oh hell, I guess I'll throw in my rock crawling experience in the Harley...it looks like I did more crawling than what he did in his video anyhowotstir:



It's hard to see but there is actually a pretty nice size dip in front of the truck in this picture.
