My favorite tape measures are Stanley "engineering" tapes. The measure normally on the top (fractional marks) and then on the bottom they measure in tenths (.1, .2, .3...). They are really handy when measuring parts in a machine shop. If you really take the time, you can read one to .025.

I knew the answer, only because I have a friend that his whole family are lefties and his dad had his own business, so he ordered all lefty stuff-even left handed writing utensils (the same as the tape measure, the writing on a pen/pencis could be read while holding it in your left hand).
