Has anyone here replaced their rear sliding window? My defrost does not work and the rear seal has developed some tears.

I see ebay has OEM replacements for about $350. How hard is it to install this? It looks like one piece and possibly includes sealant?

What all has to be removed to get to it? Does it need any sort of sealant?

Thanks

It's not a bad job, there are a hand full of studs attached to the glass and its locked in place with nuts then waterproofed by the external seal, no sealant necessary. The window motor rides on a couple of studs and you can just disconnect the electrics and pop it off, it will be obvious when you pop the carpet behind the seats. There are some youtube videos on the previous gen trucks, install is pretty much the same if you want to get an idea of whats involved.

You will want to grab a set of the suction cup style install paddles if your going to do it solo, can probably do without if you have a hand. Should take under an hour.
